Blue Oak Brewing Website

Blue Oak is small brewery located in San Carlos, CA that specializes in crafting the perfect pint.

The owners were looking to update their website from an outdated wordpress theme, that was lacking a mobile format, to a modern, trendy and responsive design. I worked closely with them to define their requirements and ensure the new site met their needs.

The end result is a custom website built with React, hosted on Netlify, and utilizing by Contentful as the CMS. The site is fully responsive and ready for any device.

Fetching the current On Tap list

It was important that managing the content on the site be as simple as possilbe. With rotating taps and kegs that can kick at any moment, the menu is constantly changing. That meant integrating with their currnent Square POS to pull the current tap list.

I wrote and deployed a small node.js service that pulls the current tap list from Square, and makes the menu available via an API endpoint consumed by the website. This ensures that the website is always up to date with the latest offerings.
